Wahoo! Grey, I am so proud of you. :D You wouldn't imagine the eye rolls I get when I try to recruit people to watch Numb3rs. They're all wrapped up in Gray's (Grey's??) Anatomy. *tsk* Absolutely NO kevlar whatsoever. :P

As for fic...hmm...you know, I haven't read a lot of it, surprisingly. I'll need to do some research and get back to you on that one. So I'll forgive you for being slow to recognize the fabulousness that is Charlie if you'll forgive me for being lax in my knowledge of the world of Numb3rs stories.

Yay! Afton! ;) I was hoping either you or Shiva would reply (as you can see, I've finally pulled my head out of the sand, so to speak). And yes, sadly, there is no kevlar at all in Grey's Anatomy, however there is much in the way of Patrick Dempsey, so judgement of that show will have to hold off for the swooning over Dempsey's dimples.

I, however, <3 Numb3rs much much more than dimples, for the curls and kevlar combination are indeed a powerful one. Add in the occassional Bill Nye guest appearance, and you're golden! And you haven't read much fic? *gaspness* I thought I read your name as a beta on someone's stories? Are there two Aftons in this world? My whole world-view is crumbling!

LOL, no, you probably saw me...I was one of the betas on one of Shiva's stories (Mea Culpa). That is one story that I DO like! (She wrote another, too, but I still need to finish it...I get busy, and then I forget about things.) I've read a couple by BeckyS also, a long time ago...I remember I liked "The Unquantifiable Variable". There's another author, Ecri, that had started a story ("Manipulation")...there was a loooong dry spell, but I just checked ff.net and it looks like she finished it! I hardly remember anything about it, but I remember that I liked it.

I think the reason that I don't know much about Numb3rs fic is because it's hard to find ones I like and I don't have much time to sift through. Some authors, while they write very well, tend to make Charlie kind of wimpy or uber-vulnerable (imo), and I tend to lose interest in his character (and then the story) if he goes too far in that direction. Yeah, he's a sensitive guy, but he's still a man. So I admit, I have Numb3rsfic homework to do. ;)

And yeah, I have been lovin' the Bill Nye sightings. That has been most fabulous, especially since he usually comes with explosions! :D
